This big baby is growing so fast. He is walking and getting into everything. He climbs ladders to get into Drew's bunk bed. He eats anything and everything put in front of him. He loves to sing. He LOVES to dance. (Mostly booty shaking.) I can't believe how little of the baby is left and how much of a toddler is has become.

We've lived in our home for 7 years coming this September. And over the years I've putt off certain areas of the house such as a hall closet, under my bed, the very top of the kids closets and the dreaded toy collection that grows. For the last week I decided that's it, enough is enough and have been going through every room.

It's amazing what I had kept. A lot of preschool projects from Drew, some sweet, some not. Pictures with friend that I don't see anymore. Pictures of myself that I don't look like anymore (pre-babies.) I am almost done and we are having a big garage sale this weekend to celebrate. It feels really good and it seems that we have added square footage to our house. *Picture is from Oscar party and children are piled in the boys rooms with toys blankets and all.

After this project is over, I'm gonna tackle our budget. Feels good to get on track.

Spring Fling!

I am loving this weather, I'm loving my family and couldn't be happier with life.

We are enjoying a great spring vacation. Today we got treated to a great day at the zoo by my sister in law and tomorrow we will be going to a hotel at the beach for a overnight stay to finish off the week.

I look forward to more fun to come as summer approaches fast.

I really can't believe that its been so long since I have blogger. Even doing so now I don't feel a connection to it that I once did. However I do have a blog, and its connected to my other communication tools to I thought maybe I should update it.
Here is our newest addition, Benny. He is funny, sweet and getting bigger every day. He laughs a lot and he really can't wait to chase his older brothers. Our life has gone from busy to rocket speed in the last four months and he is along for the ride. I love having a family of five, love being a mom to boys. It is a privilege and I relish every minute.

Hopefully I will update again before the year is out.

2009 has been a wonderful year. Full of memories of summer vacations. First accomplishments (I ran a half marathon) and new arrivals to becoming next year.

I feel that although I've had some grief over the last year that I have felt that I am relying more on what God wants for my life and my families. I'm looking forward to a full 2010. In the last decade I'm become a wife and a mother. So much has changed and I'm looking forward to all the next decade has to offer.

I know it has been a really long time since I've blogged. Summer went so fast...too fast. Now we are in full swing of fall. The boys are starting school.

I hope to update a little more often now that I will be inside more instead of out side in the sun.

In the past days leading up to easter and after Drew and I have been having small chats about what we are celebrating. This isn't the first time this topic has come up and usually I go as far as he lets me. I don't push I just let him ask and I answer.

Tonight as Jack, Drew and I began our nightly prayer time, which consists of Jack and Drew both saying, "Dear Jesus, Thank you for this day, Amen." Wow my kids are spiritual. After Jack said just this, I thought Drew needs to step it up a little, so I said say one thing that God did today that you are thankful for...well I got speed racer as the answer. So I decided to share a little about God and how big he is. I used the Noah and the flood story. (I know God destroys entire earth, is a little much, but I went with it.) Then he prayed and it wasn't getting much better. So I helped him out in closing and started to tuck them both in bed.

As I layed next to Drew he started asking more questions about Jesus, "why he died, what would happen if I fought him with light sabers"...you know the normal questions. Then he asked me to sing the song how Jesus is strong. So I sang Jesus loves me. (Now I've asked him this a few other times and his answer has been no, but I thought I'd try again.) So I asked him if he's ever asked Jesus to be in his heart. He said no, and then I said would you like to pray to God to ask Jesus to be in his heart. He said, you help me. So I said a few words and he copied what I said and at the end he said Amen before I did. I then I told him you just decided to follow Jesus. He said Oh my gosh! Then I told him who else followed Jesus and is was awestruck.

I tucked him in and gave him a big hug and said I'm proud of him. Then tucked in Jackson. I started to leave and Drew said mom I want to give you another hug. I reached over and he hugged me real tight.

I think he gets it.

It's a good day.

In a conversation with a friend a while back she told me that she was excited because her husband had bought them new trash cans. I was thinking today of all of the things that I used to either take for granted or not even care about that now I call luxuries. I decided to make a list of them.

Soft scrub
Showers
Sitting at a desk alone in an office
An hour in traffic
Clean floors
Sleep
Netti pot
Washing my hair
Talking to an adult
Trash liners
Sleeping with only one other body in the bed
Shaving

T-ball season is in full "swing." This is Drew's first season and we are so excited. It's quite a lot with two practices and a game every week. But oh so much fun.

Leah and Henry got married this weekend. They got married in San Juan Capistrano at Rancho Capistrano. It looked like it was going to be a very wet day, but the sun came out just in time to allow for the beautiful outside wedding. A few months ago my husband and I decided that we are not going to buy Christmas presents this year. We actually made the decision a day before the stock market started to crashed. We just looked at our own patterns and new that there has to be a change. So as everyone is running around doing, buying, stressed, we are free. We don't need anything and asked family members not to buys us anything either.

During the past few days I've been having second thoughts on our decision, "we can't give nothing." Well thanks to my BFF I am feeling confident that we made the right decision. I'm looking forward to this Christmas and enjoying my family, food and the peace of the season.

I never read forwards but I got this in the midst of some tree photos and found it interesting. Drew Loves this song and he makes me read the book we have of it. I have never cared much for it, but now can appreciate it more!

What in the world do leaping lords, French hens,

This week, I found out.

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were

Today we had the funnest, fullest day. Since I stayed up until 2am editing and than cleaning I was very tired. But Drew started his day at preschool with a celebration of Fall. They had a pinata and he came home with a ton of candy. Then to pa's pumpkin patch with our friends Aubrey, Austin and Gracyn. Home for some naps, then get ready for Halloween night.

Ok so I have been very separated from the blog world lately. I'm not sure if it is because facebook and my blackberry have been all the media addiction I need, or because I have so much to say that before I'm able to type it, it's over.

I've been reading a really great book called, "Your boy!" It has been pushing me in ways that I couldn't have imagined and I'm loving how God is using the knowledge of parenthood to make me a better person.

The boys are loving life right now. They love each other, Jackson took an extra long nap the other day and when drew noticed he woke up Drew said, "oh Jackson, how you doing buddy?" and gave him a pat on the back. Pretty sweet.

Of course I think the same day earlier, I was angrey at a driver driving 40 MPH on the freeway and Drew yells out from the back, "Want me to get out and kick'em?" I was laughing on the inside, but told him, that wasn't nice.

Mike has a new Job and we are learning how to adjust to the new schedule of life.

Ever After is in the process of editing a lot of family photos and weddings, so I look forward to finishing those in the next few weeks for Christmas orders.

Last week we started our last year of preschool. I know you may say, it's just preschool, and didn't you start him when he was barely three, you should be ready for this. But I'm not, because the reality is once the big kindergarten, starts, it's over. I remember kindergarten, it doesn't seem that long ago. Well ok it was, but it has gone all too quickly.

So as I try to grab a hold of the last year before it all starts...I am appreciating every moment. I appreciated that I have been able to give to our families income and still stay at home to enjoy his growing up. I am thankful that my friend Becky Kroeze said when Drew was a week old, "they're only little once."

Drew's first soccer game was two weeks ago and that too has made me aware that he is a boy, the toddler is long gone. I was reading a book last night about raising boys and cried through the whole thing. I know I'm being sappy but it's a bridge that I have to cross to get to the other side.
I look forward to the fun that is ahead and cheering him on from the sidelines. It's an awesome job that God has given me to raise two future men and I am going to enjoy every step.

The new schedule for the fall season is here. Yesterday Drew had pre-school while Jackson was at my mom's and then the both of them are there until 4:30. I was able to get several hours of work done. It was good.

Well now my tuesdays are less structured and this is making me crazy. Part of me likes the idea of not having anywhere to go in the mornings, but then it ends up that the kids have a free for all while I'm recouping. This makes for a frustrating afternoon of cleaning up the morning mess.

My solution, every tuesday is going to be an all day Disneyland day. I think if we stay out of the house, no one will make a mess.

Just a thought...any suggestions are welcome.

I was thinking today about why I feel in love with photography. During one of my art classes I discovered the art of photography. This is one of my favorites from the Henri Cartier-Bresson collection.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the art of photography, it's what made me put down a pencil and paint brush and pick up the camera.

Although it's changed a lot in the past 8 years since I fell in love with it. It continues to move me and stretch me beyond myself.

Baby Jackson

As I put my "baby" to bed tonight, knowing tomorrow he will wake up and be two, I am really sad. I realized with Drew when he was first in his own room, in his crib, that Parenthood is just a continuation of letting go. It seemed easy to say this of Drew, he was my big boy, and before he was two, we knew he would be a big brother.
I don't feel the same with Jackson. Yes I let him, go however, it's taken me longer. Each stage I am surprised by. I think, "oh are we here already." Maybe because life goes by faster, I don't know, but I really can't believe that he is two. It seems that he is still this sweet, snuggly thing I brought home.
So as I put him to bed, I start to reprogram my thinking of who he is, he's a big boy. He is growing up and all I can do is just continue to let him go.

Now I know that a week ago I titled a blog "he's 2" because I've felt the two-ness for the past month, however it happens this Friday. The sweet, sneaky, silly and serious, Jackie James will officially be two.

I can't believe how fast the last year has gone. So on Friday we, the Hutton family will do Jackson's favorite things. The following quotes we hear over and over again.

1. "Watch ooo, ahh-ahh in daddy car?"
So we will be driving to all of our Jackson day celebration in Mike's car and watching Curious George.

2."Want golf with daddy?" "Drew want golf with daddy?"
So we will be going to the driving range as our first stop of the Jackson day.

3. "Want go Dnand, ride buzz, woody?"
Then we will be going to the DCA and riding Toy story Mania.

The food will be pancakes, chicken fingers and fries and lots of fruit.

I expect him to be so excited to be sharing his special day with his two favorite people, Drew and Daddy.

Swimming Lessons 08

We took swim lessons from Miss Pat last year. She has been doing it forever and really teaches them how to swim. Last year Jackson cried everyday until the last day. Yesterday (day 1) He cried so much I had to bring out the passy. But today he really started to be proud of himself for actually swimming. I'm really excited to see how go he'll be the end of the next week.
Drew did great, he's a fish and is fine tuning the skills.

Drew's Debut!

Drew filmed an episode for yo gabba gabba yesterday. We took some photos but they said we couldn't post them online...

But it was really fun only about an hour and a half and they had a beautiful system in line. When Drew got there they gave him a card and he had to get a sticker for all the different stops he made and he got a prize.

First stop, He went to voiceover...where he said, "I'm drew and I like to dance"...and a few other silly things.
Then he went to wardrobe and makeup
then dance practice.
Then he did a few different scenes in this big stage with lots of lights and him in the center looking the size of an ant.

Then to the green screen shoot, where drew will fly on a crazy flying trophy.

Then to the final stop, a photo shoot where they will turn that into drew riding a skate board.

He did really great. He was a little quite at first, and had a few silly smiles but totally did all that he was asked to do. And he got an awesome yo gabba gabba tee shirt.

It will air in sometime in October, but the new season starts in August. His episode is called the "dress up" episode.

Ok so last week my mom made a comment on here about how cute "my girl" will be. No pressure...last night I was told by my dad through tears that he bought "my girl" an old fashion pink tricycle. Again No pressure!

Today is one of those days when I don't know if I want any more children, jackson didn't want to eat and took about an hour to fall asleep. Drew did not sleep, but made his room a mess...so I got to thinking with all this parent pressure, what are my chances of having that girl...well here it is...the all too accurate ancient Chinese calendar.

It looks like I have Sept-Dec and then next year Feb, but that january is just sitting there, wanting me to have another boy....

So as I go about a normal work day...
1. Meet with client.
2. Edit some photos.
3. Go to the post office box...

and then there it is, waiting for me in the PO Box, a first for me, my own Nordstrom Visa card!
Having it in my wallet makes me feel like a real woman. I know I can't go crazy and spend the limit...but at the same time...it's just so pretty.

So as I go through out the rest of my work day, I have an extra kick in my step. Now all I need is a Starbucks visa card...do they make those?

The cutest Grandad ever, went to meet Jesus tonight.
It was a little sudden, he's had heart problems for a long time, but this morning he had a heart attack and after a long day of trying, he went to be with his wife, my Grandma Smalley.

He loved to laugh and he loved to cry. He had strong opinions on right and wrong. He prayed a lot and he loved hymns. He will be very much missed, but I know my Grandma has been missing him for two years. So they are together again tonight.

Please pray for my mom and her three siblings. It's never easy to loose a parent. But we can rejoice that he with our Lord Jesus.

(Jackson always has to carry at least two or three toys at once, i think it's the way he shows possession.)

I turned 31 yesterday. So far it's been great. Wednesday night my husband planned a dinner with family at BJ's pizza. I was honored by gift cards and some great clothes. And mike surprised us all with some Charmed Cupcakes! My birthday morning began with breakfast in bed by my husband and both boys slept until 8:30! After a nomal work day, I got greeted by my cousin jessica with some more cupcakes and off we went to a night together. We landed at downtown disney at Tortilla Joes, had margarita! It was a fun girls night.

I got tons of love from all my friends and family! Thank you to all for the texts calls and my space love.

I love you all and 31 is going to be the best year ever!

Unexpected great family night!

So life group got canceled, and all day I was dying to go to the opening of Toy Story Mania!
Off we went to DCA to fight the crowds and long line to be one of the first to ride it.
As we begin our long 3 hour wait, Mike goes to get us some snacks. He comes back 15 min later with two cold Red Trolley's! Now that's not a snack for the kids, so I sent him right back out for some popcorn, seconds later a women walks up to me, as she sees me struggling with two little ones and says, "here is a ticket to get you right into the line, you look like it's gonna be hard for your boys." So I called Michael to come back as he hurries to down the two drinks and we are on the ride with no wait!!!!! That's right, thank you to our guardian angel.

Jackson is not quite sure about this...

Yeah we are so excited...who needs 3 hours!

Oh yeah, we like it.

Toy Story Mania, it was really fun, I'm glad I didn't wait 3 hours because the ride had a few glitches, but it's a blast and my score was higher than Mike's.

Of course the boys had to have some "suvenearoos"

After we walked out the Main Street Parade was going...drew loves this...he's actually hasn't seen it live in years, but we have the commemorative video and he watches it all the time. So it was a big highlight.

The end of the evening was icing on the cake by watching the firework show from the ground between the two parks. Firework photo credit given to my son...Drew...who said, "mommy I want to take a picture of the fireworks." Great job Drew.

So what a great night thanks to no Life Group...

So I've been meaning to post this for a while now. Fresh and easy is exactly that. I know some of you have probably walked in and out of one of them and thought, what's all the fuss about? No wait, it is awesome.

For those of you who prepare all your meals from scratch using no added preservatives or and all organic ingredients, you don't need this place. But for the rest of us, me, who don't cook like that, or have time to search out the best organic ingredients, it's perfect. As far as organic food goes, I tried whole foods once, I got one bag of groceries for $75.00. Yes it was healthy, but that's not realistic. I've been going once a week spending about the same for 4 full bags of groceries. And this last week I used $25 in coupons so is was, $40.00. But again, it's not even that's it's cheap, it's that it's good real food and this week my kids have had all real food, not once did they get fast food, (from me) and I am loving it.

Not only am I buying the real food (fruits and veggies), but I'm buying their meals. I had yellow fin tuna on Monday, how decadent is that.

So give it a chance people, it's awesome!

So last week Drew had his first audition. Today we got an email Congratulating us that our child would be on the next season of Yo Gabba Gabba! I have no idea what that means really, he could be on the whole season or one second in one episode. If you don't know what this show is, it's on nickelodeon and Noggin. I've attached a youtube of it, but it's kinda crazy. The few shots of the kids are when we'll see Drew. Pretty fun!

This is in response to Lela's question on when to take children to the dentist. This was both boy's second time, the first was just six months ago. I have to say I was a little late taking drew, but early taking Jackson. Jack has my teeth, and so since I had my first two root canals at five, I've been more concerned with him. Usually they say you should bring them around two years old. I say the earlier the better to get them used to it.

Drew and Jack had their dentist appointments today. Drew walking into the appointment was telling Jack, "they just want to clean your teeth, it's going to be fun." Then the moment he was in the room, he froze, cried, and it took 25 minutes to get him in the chair. Jackson sat right in the chair after Drew, and allowed the dentist to do it all. Quite a big boy! I guess he was being too big, because Dr Stella, said it is time to give up the passy. His teeth have too much movement and he said it could effect his jaw line. Great! Here's to lots for sleepless nights coming up.

Any suggestions on getting a 21 month old to quit?

Going Green!

Tonight I decided to start on a long road ahead of going green. It's been about a year of me collecting information and I've decided to start the process.

I purchased some of these products at our local target. In using them I didn't feel like I was being poisoned by toxic gas, like I normally feel when I clean the bathroom. It actually smelled like a spa!

What I came to find when Drew was quite, yet not asleep....look very close at the green trees they aren't all palms...some are green paint!

Drew climbed up onto his table, got the paint down, made a masterpiece, then decided he was doing something wrong and hoped in bed to hide and so the whole bed was covered in green.

Today is full of grief. I wont go into the why, however, these are my thoughts today. I believe that the changes in the hearts of lives over the past five years of Revolution church were real. I want to encourage all not to discredit those events. God's hand is in this and has always been. He doesn't make mistakes. Pray. Pray for us, the families, and our community.

So although I didn't have my usual valentine with me this year, my two little boys filled my day with love. Here are some photos of the night. I bought them each a valentine tee and took them to down town disney for their first Build a bear experience. We then ate at the jazz kitchen, very yummy. Wow I am behind in my photo blogging...here goes a recap of the last few weeks. We went to Knott's Berry farm kitchen for breakfast then took the family in to the park to play in Camp Snoopy.

We've done this over the last few years and it keeps getting more fun!

How did we get to December 7th?

The year is almost over. 2007 has happened an it is only to reflect upon. I do have some photos to share, they are still on the camera, so we'll see those soon.
This year has been one of learning, reflection and appreciation.

Learning, to be 30. Loving the confidence it gives, yet excepting that I'm not 23 anymore. I actually had to get a new picture for my drivers license, my last one I was 23 and 116lbs, things change and I am Learning to accept it.

Reflecting on this year and years gone by. How is it that my first born will be 4? That is the beginning of the end of baby. He's a kid and although sometimes frustrating, and exhausting. He brings so much joy and life to me, it's amazing. The little bro however I'm relishing every moment of his innocence, how ever fleeting his is as well.

Appreciation, for what I have. The life here in So Cal is a rich one. I am so thankful for the little things, like fast food for a busy working mom, and my new blackberry. I am rich for having an amazing church with where I have been able to give my talents God has given me, back to Him. I've meet true friends and grown closer to God than I could ever have imagined. I'm so rich with loving and true friends, friends that I can be myself with and they except me for me. I am rich because of my husband who has gone from a best friend to a soul mate and partner. I know that I am not alone on this earth because he is in my life. I'm rich with family that is so supportive and caring and giving. I am full, all I can do is give back what I have been given.

May the end of this year continue to be an opportunity to give back and may it continue into 2008.

We have had quite the week of festivities. Well I really feel like the festivities began the beginning of the month. My friend Jennifer decided to start a Halloween tradition and have a small party for 6 kids...we had dancing, cupcake decorating, yummy food, fun gifts and pumpkin "holding". It was quite a festive scene.

I thought of several titles for this blog...better then...I almost had a ...but none of those would work. But I bet you can't guess what made me more excited then anything in a long time!

My son ate his veggies! Not just one bite and then spitting them out, actually eating big bites and enjoying it! I would have never known such activities would bring me such joy five years ago...but all of you moms who deal with this problem regularly know it's the best when they eat their veggies!!!!

I also bought the new book Deceptively Delicious. I made one thing and they didn't eat it.

ok so I didn't tell the whole story of how he actually ate them...michael was telling him that he could have some chips if he ate some, then he started to say I'll race you and after his first carrot, he didn't mind eating them...michael kept racing him and that's how he ate them. So I take no credit in him eating them, but I take joy in the event just the same.
