I'm 1 year older than Garfield!

Tagged by Jamie Petersen! I saw bobby's this morning and was hoping to dodge the tag. But No! Here it goes.

When tagged, you have to take your birthday date and find out some things about it. You have to find, events, other people who were born on the same day, deaths and a holiday.

I am also a June baby...June 19, 1977.
Here's the info.

Events

Get goin Girls!

Does "I can't afford it," mean "It's not worth it?"

In processing some recent conversations, I've been in torment over these words. I think about things I'd like to buy and if they are in the higher price range I consider it, put my value on it and then decide...is it worth it or is it not! To me it all means the same. To others it may mean something different. I do believe we put our money where our hearts are. Which means if you find value in something, cost is no option. Now I understand that not everyone has the kind of money to buy a $475 shirt. (Michael and I were in an expensive store and saw one which we were surprised by.) However if one was going to the Oscars and wore a special suite for just that occasion, it might not be so absurd. So I guess that in the moment or situation, each person will look at the item, put a value on it and decide...is this worth it?

You shouldn't take blood from a baby!

Drew and Jackson have been on a waiting list to get into the asthma, allergy specialist. I got a call last week that they got in for last friday. Well they had a two hour appointment and the doctor is great. He made a plan and the first thing on the list is to get the boys tested for which items they're allergic to.

So today I took the 3 year old and 9 month old to get four viles of blood drawn from each kid. Not the best moment in a mother's life. I had to hold each of them down (one at a time of course.) To have the blood taken slowly out of their arms. I'm sure some of you mothers have been there. Not fun....

However I did promise a trip to the toy ayle of target after, which the boys were spoiled by me and their grandma.

When michael got home from work, Drew ran to show him his new toys. Michael said, "why did you get those toys?" Drew said "Because I was Brave."

and yes he was.

There's been an accident!

So today I get the routine phone call from michael, I'm thinking he's on his way home. I pick it up and he says, "I'm ok, but I've been in an accident." At that moment all that was happening in my routine, mundane, normal life stops. I had to gather my thoughts and then processes. What?

So there he was at brookhurst and talbert in costa mesa, stopped at a stop light. He was on the phone (using his head set.) When out of no where his world gets rocked. What he didn't see coming was a teenage boy in a newer truck headed for the back of him at about 60 mph. Slam, right into the woman in front of him. He took the bulk of the hit. The honda accord is totaled.

Mike got rushed to the ER, they took Xrays and nothing broken, but he's already in a lot of pain so we all know that it get worst on the 3rd day!

The amazing thing is that he's safe, the car look brutal. I'll post some car shots tomorrow from the seen. For now this is a photo he took with his cell phone in the Ambulence on the way to the hospital.

Praise the Lord, he was protected!

I'm Sick of my Sick baby!

It's going to the fourth week of wiping runny noses! Jackson has been coughing and running since we were in vegas and Drew has gotten it worst this week. I think my kids have allergies and I've been searching the internet all night looking for answers. I find that the symptoms are similar to what the doctors say but no real solution. I'm really frustrated and feel like I need to take them to a place, free from smog, air pollutions, mold and anything else that comes into their little lungs.

I feel helpless.

Photo of the Week!

This is romance! The wooden door cracked open to an unknown place. Two lovers hide away to catch a moment alone. (Of course I'm peaking in on their alone time!) This bride has been a fan of mine for years. I've shot her brother's wedding, her cousins, and several of her friends. She's been referring me to everyone she knows and awaiting the day she too gets to book me for her wedding. She got engaged a few months ago and I was the honored first phone call that next morning. I love to hear a new bride say "it's time...I'm ENGAGED!" I'm so happy for her.
